Manuel

Manuel, a documentary will provide the story of an immigrant from Mexico finding his way via Los Angeles, California to Nashville, Tennessee, where he becomes the award winning fashion designer to music industry stars.  From Elvis’ gold lame’ suits, the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper outfits and Johnny Cash’s black suits, to country music icons like Gram Parsons, Porter Waggoner and Loretta Lynn, Manuel has dressed them all. He has touched every decade of pop culture for the last 60 years, even now dressing the likes of Zac Brown, Lady GaGa, and Jack White. And he lives life to its fullest.  At 82 years of age, Manuel continues to create custom designs six days a week at his boutique on Broadway in Nashville. Filmmaker May Adair Kaiser and co-directors Yuri Figueroa and Josh Harrell will follow Manuel’s current process and capture the essence of his creative process, along with historical footage and interviews with family and friends they will create a one hour documentary telling his story. Principal photography will begin mid summer of 2017 with post production in early 2018.  The release is set for Spring 2018.
